About the role: Be rewarded by the life-changing outcomes your work is supporting. Reporting to the CEO, the Fundraising and Communications Coordinator will play a pivotal role in driving our fundraising efforts. You will be:
- cultivating relationships with new and existing philanthropic partners, donors and government providers to achieve revenue goals.
- getting involved in planning, accomplishing, and evaluating fundraising campaigns, events, and initiatives.
- writing promotional, corporate and fundraising copy for on-line and off-line publication. This includes writing funding submissions, social media posts, newsletters, annual reports, website copy, media releases, articles and blogs.
- managing our website, social media activities and digital media presence.
Join us and be supported by subject matter experts who will provide input, guidance and direction where necessary.
Hours and location: The hours are 35 per week and are flexible from Monday to Friday. This is a hybrid role with an option to work from home and out of either our Tweed or Binna Burra office. Pool vehicles are available from the Binna Burra site.

Qualifications and checks
- Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Marketing, Journalism and/or Public Relations
- Current Driver's Licence, A satisfactory Criminal Record Check, Working with Children Check, COVID vaccination and First Aid certificate.
Professional skills and experience
- At least 5 years’ proven professional experience in a role of similar nature
- Experience creating professional copy following approved processes
- Demonstrated experience of the application of fundraising principles and the proven ability to deliver income driven strategies.
- Technical expertise in WordPress, and familiarity with donor management platforms such as ThankQ, marketing and data analysis with social media and Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) the Microsoft suite and video conferencing applications.
- Demonstrated media relations and partnership building experience
- Awareness of contemporary community services issues including AOD and mental health.

This role will be remunerated at SCHCDS Level 4 $41-44ph with access to salary packaging to potentially increase your take home pay by another 5k.
The role is funded to until 30th June 2025 with potential for extension.
