About the Role
Our client is in search of an Associate with 3-5 years' experience to join their Energy and Resources team in Brisbane. In this role, you'll work under the mentorship of a distinguished Partner and Co-Head of the Energy Practice for Australia. Your responsibilities will span a range of exciting projects, including:
- Engaging in renewables, energy storage, hydrogen, and waste to energy initiatives.
- Managing transactions in resource and oil and gas sectors.
- Handling wholesale and retail contracting.
- Navigating energy market regulations, mining regulations, and emissions reduction measures.
- Overseeing carbon regulation projects.
- Facilitating joint venture arrangements and offtake agreements.
- Negotiating supply contracts.
- Ensuring compliance and conducting investigations.
About You
If you possess:
- 3-5 years' experience in energy/resources or corporate transactions
- A keenness for learning and building a career in energy/resources
- Strong analytical, research, and drafting skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Commitment to client service and relationship building
- Team-oriented mindset and reliability
- Proactive approach to industry involvement and networking
- Relevant legal qualifications and a solid academic background
