About the Role:
Due to significant growth plans off an already strong, established base, we are expanding our leadership team to include a Legal Director for our Australia/New Zealand Region.
Reporting to the Regional Business Director, the role will provide general business law counseling, guiding both strategic and day-to-day business decisions, while ensuring the effective management of all legal, compliance and contractual matters for Virbac Australia and Virbac New Zealand. Other key accountabilities of this role include Legal Dossier Management for ANZ; management of risk and compliance for our entities; as well as providing legal support on all merger and acquisition transactions.
About You and Your Experience:
- Australian Lawyer with current Practising Certificate essential
- A minimum of 6 years as senior in-house legal counsel, with experience in a European MNC a plus
- Sound business judgment with an ability to think strategically and mitigate risks
- Experience in pharmaceutical industry/animal health is desirable, but not essential
- Highly developed organisational, prioritisation and conflict management skills
