We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to lead our South Australian clinical care and ensure the delivery of exceptional services under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).
As the General Manager your key responsibilities include:
Management of Operations:
- Oversee all NDIS operations and service provisions in South Australia.
- Ensure worker safety and effective risk management.
- Foster participant engagement and ensure their safety, while complying with legislative and reporting obligations.
- Lead financial management, including budgeting, reporting, and forecasting to inform strategic decisions.
- Drive strategic planning and implementation, and report on strategic progress.
- Manage facilities and accommodations effectively.
- Ensure quality compliance and continuous improvement, including audit preparation.
- Maintain all registers supporting quality improvement.
- Develop and manage all documents, forms, registers, and reports.
- Develop and implement clinical policies, ensuring they are current, available, and compliant with directives.
- Manage risk and disaster planning to ensure the safety and well-being of participants and staff.
Financial and Regulatory Management:
- Oversee Orion Care South Australia's financial, legislative, regulatory, and contractual responsibilities.
- Monitor and respond to quality and safeguarding matters associated with delivering supports to participants.
- Ensure strategic and business planning considers legislative requirements, organisational risks, NDIS guidelines, and the needs of participants and workers.
Operational Leadership:
- Manage and develop all service activities, including participant care, staff, resources, and compliance.
- Provide comprehensive reports to the Directors.
- Maintain records of all operational and service events.
- Engage in strategic and business planning, including budgeting and defining the service scope and strategic vision.
- Schedule, chair, and manage agendas for all agreed meetings.
- Conduct performance management of both operational and governance areas of responsibility.
- Ensure all continuous improvement, incident, complaints, and industrial relations reporting activities comply with legislation and NDIS obligations.
To be successful in this role you will have the following qualifications:
- Tertiary qualifications in business, nursing, allied health, or a related field.
You will have experience in:
- Extensive industry experience in disability services, particularly in Supported Independent Living (SIL), Behavior Support, and Specialist Disability Accommodation.
- Relevant business and management experience.
- Significant experience managing multi-site and multi-program operations.
- Proven leadership experience with a diverse staffing complement.
Your will have skills in:
- Capacity to manage operations, communicate with all stakeholders, and understand and implement all NDIS compliance obligations.
- Ability to develop and maintain detailed budget tools for effective reporting.
- Capacity to represent Orion at all levels, including government, NDIS, community representatives, and industrial relations forums.
- Ability to manage all levels of staff, develop skills, ensure engagement, and promote Orion as an “provider of choice”.
