Your New Chapter

At VetPartners, we pride ourselves on delivering shared services support that drives success for our veterinary clinics. We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated General Manager – Business Operations to provide critical support to our Operations Leadership Team. This role is central to increasing operational effectiveness and ensuring the seamless execution of our strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating Effectiveness:
  • Develop and manage structures, processes, and visualizations to enhance focus and execution effectiveness.
  • Establish an operational cadence for cyclical processes and streamline their execution.
  • Regulate and manage the volume of change for the field operations team, ensuring balanced pace, quality, and sustainability.
• Operations Enablement:
  • Lead the development of tools and resources to enhance the field operations team's interactions and value to clinics.
  • Collate and provide best practice tools and templates for the operations team.
• Operational Expertise:
  • Act as a subject matter expert and project manager for key operational initiatives.
  • Provide diagnosis, coaching, facilitation, and advice to operational teams and clinic staff.
• Administrative Support:
  • Maintain and manage clinic master data and ensure accurate documentation processes.
  • Support the Executive Director of Operations (EDO) with administrative tasks, meeting facilitation, and performance monitoring.
• Organizational Planning:
  • Ensure effective communication and coordination within the operations team.
  • Contribute to internal communications and newsletters to ensure operational relevance.
• Integrations:
  • Oversee and lead the integration of new businesses into VetPartners, ensuring minimal disruption.
  • Manage and develop the integrations team, ensuring continuous improvement and alignment with corporate strategy.

Skills, Attributes, and Experience:

Essential:

• At least five years of experience in multi-site operational management.
• Process-oriented with experience in process engineering and design.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills.
• Proven project management experience.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to manage high-stress situations and resolve conflicts effectively.

Desirable:

• Tertiary qualification in Business or a related field.
• Experience in the veterinary or health industry.
• Experience in mergers and acquisitions integrations.
