About You
As the General Manager - Business Operations, the major part of your role will focus on the HR space plus the financial aspects of the organisation. You will be involved in developing, implementing, and monitoring overall operational and administrative requirements within the NDIS framework.
Reporting to the CEO, you will partner with other members of the Senior Management Team in strategic decision making to enhance the organisation’s quality services and maintain and build the organisation’s reputation and capacity.
Responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing systems across operational and administrative functions.
- Providing expert advice and training to employees.
- Contributing to strategic planning and organizational goals.
- Setting KPIs for key work areas.
- Resolving organisational issues and negotiating programs.
- Building alliances with families and managing change.
- Maintaining relationships with stakeholders and the public.

Essential Criteria:
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or equivalent experience.
- Strong experience in developing and delivering programs for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including those from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds.
- Knowledge and understanding of disability sector funding, particularly NDIS.
- Excellent mediation, negotiation, collaboration skills.
- Strong grasp of disability service policies and standards.
- Demonstrated leadership and supervision skills.
- Commitment to social justice and equity.
- High-level customer service and sales abilities.
- Disability services management expertise, including compliance.
- Strategic planning and organisational support experience.
- Effective interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Proficient in mentoring and performance management.
- Stakeholder and media relations expertise.
- Public policy advocacy and change management skills.
- Uphold the principles of corporate governance.
- Current First Aid certificate, CPR certification, and Driver's Licence.
