About the Opportunity
We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for an experienced, driven, and passionate General Manager to join this national recognised organisation.
As General Manager, reporting to the CEO, your primary objectives will be to spearhead the division's sales and profit/revenue growth, strategically manage the product portfolio with suppliers and product managers, and collaborate closely with the sales teams to foster relationships and drive sales in key markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop the sales strategy and business plan working with the company overall strategy for growth and success
- Foster and drive a successful and motivated sales team
- Full P&L accountability to achieve top and bottom-line results
- Directly and indirectly leading a team of over 25 staff
- Pioneering the development and management of new products and sales opportunities as a high level
- Overseeing the marketing strategy for the product portfolio
- Managing inventory to meet agreed KPIs
- Cultivating high-level relationships with suppliers, customers, and industry influencers
The successful candidate will possess:
- Proven leadership and management skills
- Strong commercial acumen
- The ability to mentor, motivate and support sales teams at all levels
- Highly desirable to have had experience in the building or construction market
- Proficiency in working within a matrix reporting structure
- A passion for developing and sustaining strong external and internal relationships
- Experience in business development and sales strategy
- Excellent communication skills
