You will be working for an award-winning provider of underfloor heating at their offices on the Northern Beaches of Sydney. Having established a great reputation and a dedicated, vibrant team, the business is flourishing. They are going through an exciting growth period and are looking to expand their leadership team to assist with achieving their plans for 2024 and beyond.
The Role
Working closely alongside the Managing Director, the role oversees planning, directing and coordinating all aspects of business operations as well as supporting the Managing Director in developing strategy, structure, budgets, financial outcomes and scorecard metrics.
You will also be responsible for leading the team and ensuring that all team metrics are met. This will include leading the onboarding process, ongoing performance management and capability development.
Duties
- Directing daily operations and customer service activities.
- Implement appropriate metrics to measure performance.
- Execute annual goals and objectives, in alignment with business objectives.
- Evaluating and providing recommendations to the MD on processes, procedures and areas for improvement.
- Reviewing sales or other performance data to measure productivity and identifying areas needing cost reduction or process improvement.
- Manage and lead the team on a daily basis.
- Oversee performance management and ongoing professional development.
- Focus on team performance, including performance management, capability development and ultimately staff engagement and retention.
- Bachelor’s degree in related subject matter is desired or experience as a General Manager, in Operations Management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proven experience managing teams.
- Exceptional organizational, project management and communication skills.
- Strong administrative and data management skills.
- Ability to handle multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines.
- Adept at forging relationships and aligning team members and resources to achieve business initiatives.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office including Excel.
- Continuous improvement mindset - willingness to challenge the status quo while meeting the organization's goals and objectives.
- Demonstrated success translating data into actionable insights and improvement initiatives.
- A hands-on approach, and willing to get stuck in and get the job done.
- Direct industry experience is highly regarded, but not essential.
