About the Role
Brand new critical leadership role to support a growing global business. The General Manager Operations will report to the Operations and Commercial Director and will oversee the Northern Region of the Australian and New Zealand Business. Based in Sydney and supporting the Emirates Leisure Retail venues across Sydney, Brisbane, and Auckland you will drive business outcomes, lead strategic direction and growth, influence partnerships and alignment and be responsible for the highest level of service and safety.
With revenue in excess of $35 million, over 250+ total reports in your region and an anticipated growth of 15+ venues on the horizon, you will have a passion for people and delivering operational excellence. Partnering with the Operations Director and General Manager for the Southern region who supports venues across Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth and Launceston, you will pay a pivotal leadership role in the business.
Location: Sydney NSW (strongly preferred). We are open to considering applicants from other locations if they are a strong fit for the position.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and drive the successful implementation, development, and growth of end-to-end operations.
- Lead and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
- Responsible for critical projects, including venue openings, commercial improvements, marketing activations and operational procedures, recruitment, and standards, etc.
- Strategically partner with key stakeholders and have robust supplier / contractor relationships and manage commercial negotiations and procurement.
- Full P&L accountability, managing revenues in excess of $35 million.
- Oversee, drive and maintain food safety and liquor compliance standards.
Skills and Experience:
- Extensive experience in operations management preferably within the hospitality industry, with a strong track record in multi-site management.
- Proven ability in leading commercial projects related to suppliers, procurement, and venue development.
- Exceptional leadership capabilities, with experience in team development and achieving operational excellence.
- Strategic thinker with a robust understanding of financial management and commercial drivers.
- Significant stakeholder management including suppliers, landlords, project managers, contractors, and internal support office services.
