As the General Sales Manager of Wholesale Fashion, you will be responsible for spearheading our sales efforts, meeting revenue targets, and managing a team of Sales Managers. The Opportunity
Due to our rapid growth, we are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented individual to join our company as the General Sales Manager-Wholesale Fashion. This new role will be pivotal in managing our amazing sales professionals to drive revenue growth in the Wholesale Fashion market.
You will be located in Sydney.
Responsibilities
The key responsibilities in the role are:
- Developing and implementing sales strategies
- Setting sales goals and targets
- Managing, directing, and leading a team of Sales Managers.
- Monitoring, analysing sales performance.
- Identifying new business opportunities.
- Building and maintaining relationships with key customers
- Analysing market trends and competitors
- Training and coaching sales staff, especially Sales Managers
- Creating sales reports, insights, and forecasts
- Ensuring customer satisfaction and retention
- Optimising sales processes
- Collaborating cross-functionally: Working closely with other departments such as marketing, production, designing and operations.
- Overseeing inventory arrangements and orders for the branches, ensuring optimal stock levels and timely restocking
About You
Our ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and proactively collaborates across an organisation to achieve outstanding outcomes.
You will need to have:
- 7+ years of experience in leading B2B sales teams—Fashion Industry preferred.
- Proven Sales Leadership: Demonstrated experience in leading sales teams in the fashion wholesale industry, with a track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets and goals.
- Industry Expertise: In-depth knowledge of the fashion wholesale market, including understanding of industry trends, key players, distribution channels, and customer preferences.
- Strategic Planning Skills: Ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans to drive revenue growth, expand market share, and capitalize on emerging opportunities.
- Team Management Skills: Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to train, motivate, and mentor a high-performing sales team to achieve sales objectives.
- Relationship Building Skills: Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients, retailers, distributors, and industry stakeholders.
- Results Orientation: Results-driven mindset with a focus on achieving measurable outcomes, such as sales targets, market share growth, and customer satisfaction metrics.
- Analytical Skills: Proficiency in sales analytics and data interpretation to assess sales performance, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to optimize sales strategies and resource allocation.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate sales strategies, negotiate contracts, and present sales proposals effectively to clients and senior management.
- Business Acumen: Strong business acumen, including financial literacy, understanding of profit margins, pricing strategies, and cost control measures to maximize profitability and revenue generation.
- Adaptability and Innovation Skills: Ability to adapt to changing market conditions and customer preferences, as well as innovate new sales approaches, products, or services to stay competitive in the fashion wholesale industry.
- Bachelor’s degree: in business administration, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
