Who we're looking for:
Our Global Finance team are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join them for a maternity leave cover, working out of our Sydney Head Office. This role will be integral in providing both detailed reporting and financial expertise across 4 global locations of the Multiplex business. Working closely with business leaders, and through ensuring timely delivery and accuracy of information, the Finance Manager will be key in long-term organisational decisions.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Ownership of financial reporting for Multiplex Global, ensuring compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
- Responsible for all statutory financial statements on an annual and semi-annual basis (Corps Act and Company Act compliance).
- Management of external audit processes for the Global Group, including SOX compliance and reporting.
- Oversight of Quarterly Tax effect accounting calculations.
- Quarterly review of the general ledger balance sheet, ensuring compliance with IFRS
- Ownership of Covenant reporting to the Global Group.
- Management of global reporting calendar and ensuring deadlines are met.
- Contribution in Australian monthly BAS process, Global Tax Reporting, and aligned projects.
- Involvement in with the wider global financial reporting team, offering support and assistance as required.
- Mentoring and coaching more junior members of the team.
The successful candidate will be a qualified Chartered Accountant, with exceptional knowledge and attention to detail across financial reporting, financial statement preparation, tax reporting, and compliance with a focus on deadline delivery. They will also have had experience supporting a global organisation (construction industry advantageous), Big 4 training, and be knowledgeable in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
