This pivotal position plays a crucial role delivering top-notch administrative and executive assistance. By maintaining the efficiency of corporate processes, ensuring smooth communication channels, and providing indispensable support to executives, the incumbent will be an integral part of our team.
Some core functions of this role include:
- Preparation and review of key corporate governance documents
- Preparation of meeting agendas and minutes
- Review of Council and Administrative Policy
- Manage and maintain governance calendar
- Provision of confidential secretarial support to the Executive Team
Desired skills and experience:
To be considered for this role you will be able to demonstrate:
- Certificate IV in Business Administration (or similar) OR significant demonstrated experience in a previous role
- Highly developed written and oral communication skills with the ability to liaise with a wide range of people from diverse social and cultural backgrounds
- Demonstrated time management skills and an ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and well-developed problem solving and conflict resolution skills
- Sound knowledge of meeting procedures and minute taking
- Proficient with the use of MS suite of software
- Minimum C Class Drivers Licence
- Current National Police Clearance
- Developing knowledge of the Local Government industry and its functions within the community.
- Willingness to undertake ongoing professional development
- Working knowledge of records management
Benefits of Working at the Shire
This position is being offered on a permanent full-time or part-time basis with a required minimum of 28 hours per week. The Shire is committed to being an employer of choice and offer a salary range of $58,758 to $61,955 per annum, (based on 38 hours per week and on skills and experience).
