The Governance Manager is critical to making this happen and will be accountable for:

 

  • Be the subject expert for Broker governance, assisting Frontline and Risk partners across Commercial, influencing strategic growth and revenue across the Broker portfolio
  • Contribute to the design and lead implementation of a streamlined accreditation, onboarding, offboarding framework with supporting processes and service level agreements
  • Streamlining and executing Accreditations, Onboarding and Offboarding processes for 3rd Party Introducers (Originators, Sub-Originators, and Referrers)
  • Identifying, assessing, treating/mitigating, and monitoring key risks (credit, operational and compliance risk) with an end-to-end governance view, including oversight of broker behaviour
  • Managing changes to accreditation & commission systems and processes to ensure they are fit for purpose and operating effectively • Supporting investigations of events arising to Commissions and ensuring our Commission structures are fit for purpose

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in the role, you will ideally bring the following:

 

  • Experience in risk and issue management, ability to identify and assess risks, determine the corrective action required to control or eliminate the risks and effectively manage issues that arise
  • Experience in stakeholder management, ability to identify, understand and anticipate the needs of those who can affect or be affected by your work in order to gain commitment
  • Experience in controls design, ability to specify and designing controls (e.g., a process, device or practice) to prevent, detect or remediate identified risks
  • Experience in compliance and policy management, identifying and interpreting applicable laws, rules, codes and standards to create and/or manage policies, processes and procedures, including how these are organised, reviewed and communicated
  • Experience in providing governance expertise to support the effective operation of a team, function, project or entity. This includes developing and implementing governance frameworks (including rules, relationships, systems and processes) to assist with the proper exercise and control of authority
  • Ability to convey and comprehend information effectively in both spoken and written formats
  • Ability to use logic and reasoning to analyse, evaluate and synthesize a range of information to understand an opportunity or challenge
  • Ability to gain the commitment of others through a range of techniques
  • Ability to plan and prioritise what needs to be done (including people, process and technology implications) to deliver upon customer/user needs and strategic priorities. This includes identifying, planning for, tracking and resolving dependencies
  • Business acumen, keenness and quickness in understanding and dealing with a "business situation" (risks and opportunities) in a manner that is likely to lead to a good outcome
