The Role:

Northern Health is looking for a Grade 2 or 3 Speech Pathologist - Paediatric who is passionate about work with neonates and infants with feeding and swallowing challenges to come and join our team.

This role is temporary until 26 July 2024 with potential for ongoing. Full time and part time applicants will be considered. 

This is an exciting role that offers you the chance to build and broaden your clinical skills working in inpatient and outpatient settings as part of a multidisciplinary team, with exposure to a diverse caseload and a range of speciality areas.

This role is further enhanced with access to resources such as VFSS, along with regular service advancement achieved through participation in quality assurance initiatives.

Northern Health Speech Pathology, with support from Northern Health Clinical School, strives to deliver high quality clinical education, allowing clinician’s regular exposure to students with ongoing support and training in clinical education.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Extensive working knowledge of the assessment and management of paediatric feeding & swallowing disorders in inpatient and outpatient settings
  • Experience working with neonates as part of developmental care team in NICU and / or SCN
  • Strong interpersonal skills to develop relationships and represent Speech Pathology on internal and external collaborations
  • Experience in promoting and participating in quality improvement processes
