We have an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Accountant to join our team. 

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, weekly payroll and the preparation of the company’s monthly financial results. You will also assist the finance team with statutory reporting obligations. You will have daily contact with the Management team and your support and initiative will be rewarded in a fun working environment.

Some of the tasks you will be responsible for (but not limited to):

• Preparation and processing of weekly payroll
• Entering AP invoices and processing payments
• Applying Customer payments and producing debtors statements
• Preparation of journals (accruals, amortisation, revaluation, reclass, etc.)
• Monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliations including intercompany
• Perform regular Bank Reconciliations
• Assist with preparation and lodgement of BAS returns
• Maintaining Fixed Assets Register
• Assist with preparation of financial reports and analysis
• Provide support to external accountants in preparation of Fringe Benefit Tax returns and annual statutory accounts
• Cashflow Forecasting
• Management of the business KPI reporting dashboard
• Assisting the Finance Manager with other ad hoc department requests

What you'll need to succeed

• A Bachelor's Degree in Business (Accounting)
• Excellent collaborative skills to work with Branch Managers
• Positive commitment to problem solving
• Analytical mindset
• Intermediate/Advanced in Excel & Microsoft suite of products
