Fantastic opportunity for a recent or pending accounting student to join a reputable organisation as a Graduate Accountant. Permanent position

The Company

The organisation are a highly reputable organisation with 50 staff in their APAC region but are also part of a US group who are listed on the stock exchange so you will be exposed to global reporting as well as feeling part of a local team. Offices are based right next to Melbourne CBD and hybrid working is on offer with up to 3 days available for working from home. The organisation are offer a supportive culture and will provide full CPA/CA study support as part of this opportunity. It's a very rare but truly amazing opportunity for a recent or pending accounting graduate who wishes to further their career in this area.

The Role

This is a permanent opportunity which will work closely with a Senior Accountant, Financial Controller and CFO. You will learn the ropes and grow with the business over time with some likely duties including:

Completion of financial reconciliations and end of month accounting tasks accurately and efficiently.

Other accounting and finance related tasks as required and delegated by the Financial Controller. These could include bank reconciliations, journals, invoicing and financial reporting.

Management of the selected company accounts and acting as the primary contact for all commission related inquiries.

Review and resolution of commission related queries from agents in a timely fashion.

Prepare commission reconciliation (when required) and liaise with agents and accounts payable on any commission payment matters.

This is a fantastic entry level position for a graduate. No prior experience in accounting is required but you must have a recent or pending degree qualification as well as a desire to build a career in accounting. Full training will be provided to those who have a great attitude and willingness to learn.

Interviews will take place from late March for this opportunity. You must have working rights in Australia for a minimum of 3 years and you must also be a recent or pending graduate. Candidates with over 2 years of pre-existing accounting experience may not be considered as we are seeking an entry level profile.

Your Profile

You will have a background in Accounting and Finance with 0-12 months of experience in a similar position. The following attributes will also be highly advantageous:

Interested in pursuing a CA/CPA qualification
Excellent attitude and work ethic
Very strong written and verbal communication skills
Recent or pending accounting degree
Comfortable commuting to CBD
Working rights for minimum 3 years in Australia
