This position offers the opportunity to:

Strive to achieve personal goals for technical expertise and recognition within the industry Consolidate, develop and mature BHM's geotechnical engineering expertise to complement the services we currently provide in Sydney.
Develop strong working relationships with new and existing clients;
Oversee and manage projects to ensure work output is of a technically high standard and activities are commercially viable for the business;
Plan resource needs in consultation with Engineering managers working within the geotechnical group or requiring services of the geotechnical group. Assist with long- and short-term planning for the geotechnical group;
Actively participate in activities which develop and promote your career, that of your colleagues and the BHM Geotechncial organisation;

Qualifications & experience.

• Bachelor of Engineering specialising (Civil, Geotechnical, Structural, Environmental).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Owns a car with an unrestricted driver license.
• Previous experience with engineering software packages such as gINT, GEOSLOPE, PLAXIS, ROCSCIENCE is advantages.
• A demonstrated passion for working in the geotechnical engineering discipline
• Ability & Willingness to learn and take on challenging work, either site-based or in the design office.
• Able to work from home unsupervised.

  Tasks & responsibilities

• Undertaking geotechnical investigation to in accordance with detailed scope of work
• Logging of soil profiles in accordance with AS 1726.
• Assisting in preparation of a wide range of technical documentation and assessments under the supervision of a suitably qualified geotechnical engineer or environmental scientist.
• Working with geotechnical investigative drilling teams and assisting offsiders.
• Carry out environmental sampling in accordance with company procedures and protocols.
• Supporting in the preparation of technical proposals.
  Carry out various testing on site.
