We’re looking for an enthusiastic lawyer to join our expanding commercial litigation and insurance litigation team in Brisbane. You’ll be part of a highly engaged team who work on our biggest clients. Working in the Brisbane CBD in our stylish, contemporary offices, you will bring a positive and proactive approach to exceptional client service.
Your new role
- Work in commercial and insurance litigation with opportunity to specialise
- Take carriage of files under supervision
- Advise clients on legal and technical issues
- Draft and settle claims for filing in relevant courts
- Attend settlement conferences
- Make appearances and attend necessary hearings
- Regularly attend seminars and events contributing to your professional development and marketing the firm
- Guidance and mentorship from your manager and the leadership team
Your skills and experience
- Experience, knowledge and interest in commercial law and insurance law highly desirable
- Be proficient in MS365 adaptable to new systems and technology
- Previous experience with a practice management system (particularly ActionStep) highly advantageous
- Be highly organised, able to plan and prioritise work to meet key deadlines
- Show initiative and a willingness to learn and develop new skills
