TP Human Capital is currently recruiting for a Junior Lawyer to join a commercial law and litigation firm based in Townsville CBD, where an inclusive, supportive, and forward-thinking work culture is of extreme importance. In this role, you will provide critical support to the principal and other solicitors, ensuring timely and accurate legal services for their clients.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing legal documents, including disclosure and counsel briefs, brief updates, correspondence, memorandums, and client communications.
- Liaise effectively with clients, witnesses, and other parties involved in legal matters.
- Conduct legal research, interpret laws, rulings, and regulations as assigned.
- Prepare cost agreements and disclosure notices.
- Contribute to precedent development and maintenance.
- Assist in drafting marketing materials as needed.
- Attend assigned networking events, including some after-hours functions.
- Perform other duties as directed by the principal or senior solicitors.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Laws degree (LLB) required.
- Strong understanding of legal terminology, principles, and research methodologies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a high degree of accuracy.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research databases.
- Superior organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain client confidentiality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
