Role Overview:
As a Midweight to Senior Graphic Designer at TradieMate, you will be responsible for creating visually appealing designs that communicate effectively across various digital and print media. You will use platforms like Adobe Creative Suite and Figma to develop logos, brand identities, digital banners, social media graphics, and email marketing campaigns. Additionally, you will contribute to website asset creation and page design, applying UI/UX principles to ensure optimal user engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Brand and Identity Design: Develop logos and brand identities for both digital and print mediums.
- Digital and Social Media Graphics: Create engaging banner ads and graphics for various social media platforms.
- Efficient Project Execution: Work swiftly and efficiently, managing tight deadlines to deliver projects on time without compromising quality.
- Email Marketing Design: Conceptualise and execute visually appealing email designs for B2C and B2B communications.
- Website and UI/UX Design: Design website assets and pages using Figma, focusing on user experience and conversion. This is something we can work towards in the role if you come from a more generalist design background.
- Project Collaboration: Work closely with in-house and remote teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and to spec.
- Client Engagement: Directly interact with clients, manage feedback, and refine designs based on their requirements.
Skills and Experience:
We’re looking for a midweight to senior designer, 3+ years experience. We are currently not employing for a junior in this particular role, but you may be interested in others that we have posted on seek.
Soft Skills
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Proactive and eager to learn new skills.
- You’ll be liaising with clients and our team daily (via email, phone calls and google meetings), so an outgoing, confident and friendly attitude is a must.
Hard Skills
- Ability to take a brief and work from concept to finished art under deadlines.
- Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite and Figma (or similar).
- Strong background in graphic design, with experience in both digital and print media.
Extra credit for experience with:
- Maintaining and updating existing websites via a CMS
- Proficiency in UI/UX design, with a keen understanding of website aesthetics and functionality.
- Experience on WordPress or similar website platform.
