Primary Role
Responsible for aspects of golf course maintenance and landscaping of the Clubhouse area. These responsibilities include turf grass/plant material maintenance programs, asset management and maintenance, scheduling/maintenance of irrigation systems and related recordings. Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure all duties as directed by the Course Superintendent and General Manager are fully undertaken.
- Execute the planning and maintenance programs of the golf course playing surfaces and surrounds.
- Operation and care of mowing and other course equipment.
- Provide assistance with the setting up of the course for specific golf events.
- Work in accordance with the Occupational Safety and Health Act 1984 and its associated Regulations (collectively referred to as the OSH Laws), Equal Opportunity, and Anti-discrimination legislation, including the reporting of any safety issues.
- Work in accordance with the Club’s policies, procedures, and management practices.
Skills and Experience
Highly Preferred
- Knowledge of the maintenance of golf course greens, tees, and fairways including seeding and maintenance practices for golf course turf.
- Knowledge of the correct use of various fertilisers, pesticides as relating to Golf Course management.
- Knowledge of Course machinery, and its operation.
- Certificate III in Turf Management.
- Capacity to work on weekend mornings as required.
Preferred
- Diploma in Sports Turf Management.
Remuneration
Full time or part time basis depending on successful applicant’s time commitment, with salary to be negotiated based on applicants experience within the industry.
