Lutheran Services is a not-for-profit organisation that has been serving the people and communities of Queensland since 1935. We provide quality, contemporary care and support for people of all backgrounds, at more than 20 locations throughout Queensland.
We provide community services and residential and in home aged care services. Located in Biloela, Wahroonga is our sprawling residential aged care complex. It is an easy walking distance to town set amongst lofty gum trees and well-maintained gardens. We offer a mix of single and shared en-suite rooms in a warm and friendly environment that welcomes family and visitors alike.
About the role:
This position is permanent part time, 2 days per week (can be flexible on which days), approx. 30 hours per fortnight.
As our Grounds and Maintenance worker, you will be responsible for:
- Maintaining the gardens and grounds
- Assisting with maintenance tasks around the property where required.
- Ensuring equipment and garden materials are utilised in a responsible and safe manner.
- Ensuring any work undertaken is within the scope of expertise of this role and refer any additional work back to the coorinator.
- Working to reduce risk and bring new risks to the attention of the coordinator.
- Undertaking administrative duties associated with the role.
