Grounds Maintenance Leading Hand

Position Details:
- Work Schedule: 38 Hours a week - 4 ½ work week
- Early Finish on a Friday
- Payment: Competitive hourly wages.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a range of Grounds Maintenance tasks, including lawn mowing (both push and ride-on), gardening, and minor tree maintenance.
- Oversee the daily maintenance tasks to ensure the overall cleanliness and aesthetics of the base.
- Proactively ensure the quality and safety of Grounds Maintenance activities.
- Maintain and ensure the safe working order of all landscaping equipment.
- Complete job-related paperwork professionally.
- Operate equipment and machinery safely and professionally.
- Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) for various tasks.
- Work effectively as part of a team, contributing to a positive and productive work culture.
- Respond appropriately to supervisor's directions and adapt to diverse work environments and tasks.
- Maintain a polite, professional, and well-presented demeanor.
Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience:
- Working knowledge of basic Grounds Maintenance equipment.
- Ability to discuss basic Grounds Maintenance activities, principles, and tasks.
- Knowledge of workplace safety, including PPE requirements for Grounds Maintenance activities.
Essential Employment Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience in garden and lawn maintenance.
- National police criminal history check may be required as part of the application process.
- Non-citizens are encouraged to apply, but you must have verifiable work rights for Australia or working towards citizenship.
- Have a valid drivers license and access to a car to access multiple sites if required.
Desirable Skills (Not Essential):
- Formal qualifications in Horticulture, Landscape Construction, or related fields.
- Chemical application certification.
