An opportunity exists for a qualified Group Accountant to join the finance team at our head office in Cheltenham.
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will provide accurate, timely and relevant statutory reporting and management information to achieve business objectives.
- Developing financial strategy, including risk minimisation plans and opportunity forecasting.
- High-level financial reporting and analysis.
- Preparation of company budgets and analysis of actuals to budget.
- Cash flow management.
- Improving efficiency and reducing costs across the business.
- Stakeholder management.
- Preparing Government submissions including BAS statements PayG, Payroll tax, FBT.
- Prepare and pay Workcover levy submissions.
- Ensure all manufacturer warranty, vehicle and other claims receipts are correctly recorded in the books of account.
- Ensuring compliance with statutory laws and financial regulations.
- Reconcile and pay monthly floorplan charges.
- Ensure all Balance Sheet accounts are promptly and accurately reconciled.
- Prepare and submit various returns to the Bureau of Statistics.
- Used vehicle stock reconciliations.
- Manage standard journal entries.
- Perform end-of-month procedures to deliver the financial results of the company.
- Management of Manufacturers’ reporting monthly
- Meetings with external auditors and year-end financial statement preparation.
- Working closely with management or executive teams to share reports and analysis findings.
- Assist the Chief Financial Officer or delegate as and when required.
- Mentor and upskill direct reports.
- Complete employee appraisal forms annually to determine performance and future training requirements.
