Job description
About the Role:
You will be responsible for supervising and ensuring the efficient operation of the company's cloud services, network, client servers, databases and equipment. This includes managing the IT staff responsible for monitoring and diagnosing network and hardware problems in Brisbane and across the South Pacific.
You will also work closely with General Manager - IT, Group IT Managers and decision-makers in other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organisation.
You will be required to perform wide breadth of responsibilities in this role such as:
Strategy & Planning
Lead IT department operational planning and projects and organise and negotiate the allocation of IT resources; and
Develop and implement all functional policies and procedures, including those for network architecture, standards, security, purchasing and service provision.
Financial
Budgeting and Cost Management of the IT team; and
Assess and report on the profitability of IT investments.
Service Delivery
Provide user support for all IT Infrastructure and ensure timely resolution of issues; and
Ensure high levels of availability and security of the supported business application.
Service Continuity, Availability and Capacity Management
Manage capacity planning including identification / evaluation of new technology and recommending solutions to meet business needs; and
Maintain IT infrastructure maintenance schedule and agreements to ensure optimum performance and vendor support.
Security
Ensure controls are in place for safeguarding digital and physical assets; and
Manage security access (both physical and logical) for all network access (both local and remote).
Configuration
Maintain group wide hardware and software register; and
Maintain register of software licenses throughout the group and ensure compliance with IT Computer Software Policy.
Change & Release
Research new technologies that could be utilised to improve business efficiency and reduce total cost of ownership; and
Develop and maintain user and IT staff documentation in our knowledge library (SharePoint) or similar.
Operations & Reporting
Co-ordinate IT Daily and Other Scheduled infrastructure operations; and
Provide regular performance and capacity reports with recommendations where required.
Learning & Growth
Improve IT Staff Technical & Systems Knowledge & Skills; and
Cross Train staff to ensure contingency of knowledge within group.
What you will bring to this role:
Minimum of 10 years of experience as an IT Operations Manager or a similar role;
Knowledge and management experience of enterprise systems (CRM / Finance / Procurement);
Knowledge and management experience of M365 /Azure;
Strong stakeholder management skills; and
International exposure (at least Australia national wide).
