About the Role:
Reporting to the Director Clint Nolan, The role's responsibilities include:
- Genuine Hospitality - Lead by example in creating a culture that has genuine hospitality at its core. Monitor the customer experience in each venue to ensure they are delivering on the principles of genuine hospitality.
- Service Excellence – Working closely with the senior venue teams and group management team, ensuring we have high and consistent standards of food and beverage service while contributing to continuously improving the F&B offering and pre-empting and resolving issues as needed.
- Venue Atmosphere – lead the strategy for music, lights, temperature & presentation overall.
- Compliance - ensure we are meeting our best practice objectives while adhering to relevant legislation. Managing labour costs, beverage costs, food costs and stocktakes with teams. Maintaining qualifications of all staff, RGL registers, and Incident registers.
- Culture – coach & develop our teams around recruiting the right people, providing honest feedback on performance and leading from the front.
- Service shifts – a hands-on approach to leadership so you can ensure your hard work with strategic decision-making and process improvement is getting cut through at the frontline.
- Relationship management – building and maintaining good relationships with internal and external stakeholders so your role and recommendations are respected and heard.
- Manager Leadership - coach and mentor the senior team of Managers & Chefs to ensure they have the soft and technical skills to effectively run the business.
- Sales and Events - work closely with the Functions, Events & Social Media team's day-to-day. Assessing, approving & implementing changes where required.
- Complaints - oversee and manage feedback portals, reviews and customer complaints with the teams to investigate and resolve items promptly.
- Communication - Daily reporting to the Director, ensuring communication portals are well utilised & within the company standards.
- Maintenance - assess, investigate, troubleshoot & engage a wide range of trades to ensure all equipment at all sites is fully operational at all times.
The Candidate:
We are looking for a candidate who has the following skills and experience:
- 3+ years in a Group Operations Manager role in a multi-site hospitality group, or 4+ years experience in a General Manager role in a large multifaceted flagship venue.
- Experience leading, inspiring, and developing teams within hospitality is essential - you will need to have the ability to identify, and develop, future leaders & deploy the right talent to the right venue.
- You can drive results through values and take an inclusive approach to sales analysis with our venue leaders
- You can execute tasks and implement new systems from a group/ownership perspective
- Experience developing & maximising revenue growth across multi-sites and being able to demonstrate year-on-year growth
- Exceptional presentation and communication skills
- A solid understanding of maintenance & repairs, both booking and managing multiple trades.
- Enjoy a mix of strategy and hands-on venue ops, & possess diverse experience across all frontline hospitality roles so you can jump into any role and lead by example.
- Project management experience in launching new venues.
- Experience with developing and fine-tuning policies and procedures to ensure the effective and efficient running of the department.
- Strong computer literacy skills and the ability to learn new systems
- Must have a passion for quality, consistency and commitment to delivering outstanding service with a can-do attitude.
