The Group WHS Manager oversees the Group WHS team and the Workplace, Health, Safety and Wellbeing frameworks within The BUSY Group. The role is responsible for ensuring the required outcomes are achieved and maintained by overseeing the continuous implementation and operation of the Health & Safety Management System to all parts of the organisation.
The Group WHS Manager undertakes and directs complex and diverse audits, investigations and inspections within The BUSY Group and supports externally contracted providers to ensure compliance with the applicable regulations, processes and controls.
The role actively engages and supports the Group Boards, Executive and Leaders, ensuring compliance with statutory WHS obligations and adherence to legislative requirements. This is achieved through the provision of corporate and operational support for WHS functions including training, advice, guidance, and leadership. The role is designed to effect safe work systems and continuous improvement across the Group.

A bit about you…
- The role requires a comprehensive knowledge and understanding in WHS Legislation (Acts, Regulations and Codes of Practice), Risk Management and National Standards for Disability Services (NSDS).
- Knowledge and technical skills in risk management from their extensive work experience as a qualified specialist; and experience the development and implementation of OH&S systems
- Minimum of 8 years work experience as a specialist in Health and Safety Systems, with at least 5 years at Management level.
- Significant work experience with audits as an internal auditor or externally as a consultant;
- Desirable relevant tertiary qualification, Graduate Certificate in Risk Management, or similar
- Certified Chartered OHS Professional (ChOHSP);
- Ability to obtain a Blue Card and National Police Check;
- Open drivers licence.
