The Y Canberra Accommodation Services team are currently on the lookout to expand our talent pool for Casual Guest Service Agent.
The Y Canberra Region have two accommodation sites, Leumeah Lodge in Nicholls and Bush Capital Lodge in O’Connor, which predominately host school groups, community groups and free independent travellers.
The Accommodation Services team form part of the wider Y Canberra Region organisation, which provides services to our community such as health and recreation, childcare, and early childhood learning centres.
The Role:
The Guest Service Agents are key members of the Accommodation team, primarily responsible for building positive relationships and delivering personalised concierge services to our guests. As the primary link between our management team and our guests, the role is responsible for developing the customer client relationship, coordinating all final booking details, providing professional customer service and supporting the delivery of an effective front office. Guest Services Agents work across all clients including free independent travellers, school groups, community groups and conferences.
The Guest Service Agents support the Accommodation Management team through administrative responsibilities including but not limited to, providing reception services including phone calls and email, clerical tasks, data entry and teamwork. As the face of Accommodation Services, this role requires excellent communication and presentation skills while being well organised with a high-level of attention to detail.
To be successful in this role, you will need to:
• Possess excellent customer service skills.
• Have strong written and verbal communication skills;
• Be well presented and maintain a professional appearance;
• Be competent with Microsoft Office with an ability to learn specialised programs;
• Have the ability to learn on the job; and
• Be available for flexible hours including after hours and weekend shifts.
