The Pink Flamingo is a custom-designed entertainment destination comprised of a purpose built cabaret theatre and food & beverage out lets.
Pink Flamingo Spiegelclub is the original Gold Coast venue which opened in 2019 and Pink Flamingo Spiegeland is the second venue in our Flock.
Soaring out of the success of The Pink Flamingo Spiegelclub (Gold Coast), winner of TripAdvisor's 'Travellers' Choice Award'; Pink Flamingo Spiegeland landed on Brisbane's Northshore in December 2023.
A custom-designed entertainment destination comprised of food & beverage outlets and a 400-seat, purpose-built Spiegel Pavilion, Pink Flamingo Spiegalnd is the home of three world-class resident productions over eight performances each week.
Inspired by the original 1920s Spiegeltent and the NYC Cabaret Club district, our 5-Star rated luxurious entertainment destination is purpose designed with all the comforts of a luxury first-class theatre.
Overall Responsibility
The Guest Services Manager manages box office operations, handles guest enquiries (multi-channel) and responds to experience feedback, ensuring the highest level of guest satisfaction at all times.
Reporting Relationships:
The Guest Services Manager reports directly to the Directors.
The following position reports directly to the Guest Services Manager;
- Box Office Assistants (part-time/casual)
The Role:
Working both independently and leading your team, you will:
- Manage all aspects of box office operations (backend and customer facing). Including building new events, seating plans and price levels, selling, exchanging and refunding tickets.
- Manage ticket inventory and execute approved promotions as required to ensure best overall outcome for guest experience.
- Manage relationships with principle ticket provider (Red61), on-sellers and wholesalers.
- Manage and resolve inbound enquiries from guests seeking information about our venue or shows.
- Manage and resolve inbound enquiries from guests seeking to make individual or group bookings.
- Ensure guest enquiries are handled in a prompt, professional manner, whether by phone, email social media or in person.
- Monitor and respond to guest feedback including on review platforms, Google, Tripadvisor, Facebook, etc.
- Monitor show bookings and provide weekly reports to all stakeholders.
- Seek out and proactively advise improvements for systems and processes within the department.
- Appraise team’s performance.
- Manage event on-sale timelines with all relevant stakeholders and ensure ensure event date, pricing and timings are accurately processed.
- Any other tasks within skill-set and relevant to Guest Service Management.
Hours of Work
Brisbane on-site box office is open during operational hours.
Guest Service Manager will be required to work Tuesday to Saturday including evening work.
Gold Coast office-based box office is open during office hours.
Guest Service Manager will be required to work Tuesday to Saturday including evening work.
Experience and Requirements:
- Experience with Red61 ticketing software preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience working in Guest Services/box office role.
- Self-organised and ability to multi-task within tight time frames and under pressure.
- Highly developed organisational and administrative skills.
- A strong understanding of operational hospitality.
- A knowledge of the wider events industry and competitor landscape.
- Outstanding attention to detail.
- A proven ability to build rapport with clients through excellent verbal and written communication.
- The ability and desire to work within a team environment.
