Due to the continual growth of our organisation, we are actively seeking applications for an experienced HACCP & Safety Officer to join our growing team at Oakleigh South.
About You
This is an ideal role for someone enthusiastic about HACCP and Safety. Experience in warehousing and distribution of food service and QSR clients would be advantageous, preferably with a minimum of 2 year’s experience in HACCP and OH&S.
Your day-to-day routine will look something like this:
- Coordinate site compliance with its Food Safety Management System.
- Coordinating and driving safety or HACCP related projects as introduced.
- Verifying HACCP processes and documents.
- Completing scheduled safety & food safety inspections.
- Coordinate site compliance to the organisations Safety Management System.
- Coordinating scheduled monthly HACCP and Safety Committee meetings.
- Assisting with overall improvements within the organisation to reduce risk and injury.
- Coordinating all identified safety and food safety improvements and corrective actions.
- General administrative tasks as and when required.
- Coordinating new employee safety inductions and ongoing safety and food safety training.
- Assisting the site General Manager, Operations Manager, and National Safety & Quality Team.
All about you:
The successful candidate must have the following experience:
- HACCP & Safety experience within the Warehouse / Logistics Industry
- HACCP certified (preferred but not essential)
- Experience with 3rd party food safety audits.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Administration skills.
- Excellent computer skills (excel, word, outlook).
- Ability to have a quality focused approach to all tasks whilst working within stringent time frames.
- Certificate IV in OH&S (preferred but not essential)
