Haematology and Bone Marrow Transplant- Ward 7 South
Austin Campus- Olivia Newton-John Cancer and Wellness Centre
Permanent Full-time and Part-time positions available- 80 hrs/per week
Ward 7 South is a dynamic 26 bed haematology/bone marrow transplant with 4 beds endocrinology and rheumatology. We provide care for patients with malignant and non-malignant haematological conditions. We care for patients at all stages of their illness trajectory including patients undergoing autologous and allogeneic stem cell/bone marrow transplants. We also provide care for patients receiving care under the endocrinology or rheumatology units.

About the role:
As an Austin Health Nurse you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of evidence-based nursing care in designated medical specialties, in order to optimize health outcomes for the community.
Key responsibilities will see you:
Support a philosophy of care, which is patient focused, from admission to discharge, and where the family is welcome in the carers team
Ensure the well-being and safety of patients by following the values and principles, which underpin best practice in relation to patient care, education and patient rights
Achieve and maintain the skills necessary, through personal professional development, to plan, prioritize and implement holistic patient care

You’ll further have:
Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia Registered Nurse registration
Acute clinical experience and knowledge
