About the Role
We're on the hunt for highly versatile technician with current technology skillset to join the dynamic TJ Microsystems team in our Cairns office.
Hardware Technician
Ideal Candidates for this role should have 5-10 Years experience in hardware repair, maintenance and support on a range of computer hardware and software. Experience in implementation projects, networking, in a managed IT services environment and equivalent Diploma or Higher and other industry qualifications are an advantage.
You need to be self-motivated, have good time management skills and a positive attitude. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills and fluent English are also critical, as you will have constant direct contact with clients undertaking:
- Supporting, maintaining and repairing a range of Small to medium business Computer systems and equipment including Servers Workstations, Laptops, Mobile devices, Printers and Peripherals.
- Implementation of Computer Networks including routers, firewalls, network switches, and Wireless Access Points.
- Installation and troubleshooting of Computer Software Applications and training users
- Assessing and recommending improvements on client's IT Network environments, equipment and infrastructure.
- Updating and creation of IT documentation IT Systems guidelines and procedures for efficient and secure use
- Integration of network and IT systems including third party applications
- Occasionally work outside of usual business hours to accommodate client support needs.
- As you will travel to client premises at times, a Current Australian Drivers Licence is essential.
Familiarity with many major brands and models including HP, Lenovo, Dell Technologies, Toshiba, Microsoft would be an advantage.
