About the Company
Our client is a family farming business, established in the 1960’s focusing on pineapples, mango’s, strawberries and specialty berry crops, with some 1,010 hectares under cultivation around Australia.
About the role
Organise and manage the Tasmanian berry harvest, ensuring safe, efficient and timely operations.
Main Responsibilities
(must be demonstrated in your application letter/resume)
· Providing performance feedback on quantity and quality production
· Establishing agreed yield forecasting methods
· Execute crop maintenance tasks when required
· Ensuring all reports understand their role and responsibilities
· Discussing order and customer requirements with the Site Operations Manager
· Adhering to all company policies and procedures
Education / Experience / Skills
· Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role
· Experience in dealing with a broad range of suppliers
· Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft packages
· Strawberry and Raspberry production experience
· Planning, review and analysis of operations
· Communication, delegation, review and giving feedback
· Effective Time Management skills
· Team player
· Hands on attitude to solving problems
