We are looking for a Head Chef who will lead our culinary teams in Tanami Villages, Northern Territory (Twin Hills, DBS, Oberon). If you are keen to develop scrumptious meals for our residents and develop skills and talent within a team, this role is for you!
The Position
- Manages & lead day-to-day kitchen operations
- Ensures all tasks associated with food production are done according to food safety regulations
- Develop team and culinary capability, and creating an environment of inclusivity
- Develop menus and meal plans to meet dietary and cultural requirements on site while ensuring maximum utilisation of stocks
- Able to work under pressure while maintaining a professional manner
The Person:
- Have full work rights in Australia
- Hold a Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or Trade Certificate
- Have minimum of five (5) years work experience in a commercial kitchen
- Have proficient computer skills
- Have function and menu development skills
- Have strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team
- Able to pass pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol screening and national police clearance
- Be flexible to work on a FIFO roster, demonstrating adaptability and resilience
