Monitor freshness and inspect food products daily to uphold quality standards of the resortOversee inventory and purchasing to source best quality at best price amongst food vendors Engage daily in the preparation of food to ensure execution and quality standards are met Maintain a safe working environment and educate & train on safety practices/procedures Participate in the annual budgeting process Train and develop team members on technical and professional skills for future growth opportunities
Ideal Head Chef:
2-4 years or relevant experience, an asset if in fine dining
Possess diverse cuisine experience and demonstrate a creative approach to culinary arts
Genuine desire to mentor and develop kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented work environment
Leader who can inspire and motivate the culinary team to achieve excellence
Experience with large-scale ordering processes and vendor management is highly desirable
