Humber is a three level Bar located in the heart of the Wollongong CBD, a sister venue of our other locations, Halfway and Heyday.
An opportunity has arisen for a talented chef to make their mark on the food offering of our diverse business.
Focusing on outputting high quality food with multiple different customer bases and styles, (depending on the time and day of the week). This role provides challenges while keeping each day different.
Although predominantly a Bar - the opportunity exists to help grow the food offering even further.
This is not a huge volume kitchen, however it pays a critical piece in the operating of our business and our offer to customers.
The Role (hands on):
- Hands on - food output & production. 4 days per week.
- Managing consistency and venue standards
- Stock management and ordering
- Managing rosters and budgets
- Food costings
- Strong communication and team skills

Our business operates 3 key mid week afternoon/nights (3pm to 9pm), along with longer trade on a Saturday (12midday till 9pm). We have a small, junior casual team to assist with some prep and support in peak periods. Our food offering ranges from function menus, regular bar food and our bottomless brunch offerings.
The role truly allows for someone to make their mark along with autonomy in the food offering, in a growing and changing business.
