Position Overview:
The Ipswich Jets are seeking a passionate and experienced Part-Time Head Coach for our Hostplus Cup side. The successful candidate will lead the team, develop and implement effective coaching strategies, and ensure the highest standards of performance and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement game plans and training programs
- Lead, mentor, and develop players, fostering a positive and competitive team culture.
- Conduct regular training sessions and team meetings.
- Analyse game footage and data to inform coaching decisions.
- Work closely with the club's management, medical, and support staff.
- Work closely with NRL affiliates for the betterment of the club
- Represent the Ipswich Jets at media and corporate events.
- Coach the side on a weekly basis on game days through the season and at three training sessions per week, on and off-season.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in coaching rugby league, preferably at a senior or professional level.
- Strong understanding of the game, including tactics, techniques, and modern coaching methodologies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Commitment to the development and welfare of players.
- Availability to commit to part-time hours, including weekends and evenings, as required.
- Relevant coaching certifications or qualifications.
Desirable:
- Previous experience coaching in the Hostplus Cup or similar competitions.
- Strong network within the rugby league community.
