As the Head of Brand and Marketing, your mission is to lead the charge in the global brand narrative by implementing dynamic marketing strategies across all digital and wholesale channels. You are the person who can see the short-term gains and long-term opportunities for our Brand and have the genuine knowledge and understanding to make your marketing team drive business growth.

ROLE DESCRIPTION

Reporting directly to the Founder/Directors, you will drive brand engagement through innovative storytelling about our 30 years of company dynamics and excellence in product design and innovation. Your role is pivotal in executing a comprehensive e-commerce calendar, overseeing all branded touchpoints, and ensuring a consistent brand identity, strategic output and the ability to iterate based on data-driven results.

POSITION DNA:

Brand Marketing:

  • Planning, developing and communicating creative marketing strategies in line with the company sales timelines across both wholesale and e-commerce
  • Collaborating with the Marketing team and company Directors to ensure the brand & marketing collateral uphold the strong brand DNA
  • Devising, presenting and executing Go-To-Market Plans for new product launches
  • Writing, proofreading and editing copy for new product packaging, promotional material, social content and other relevant Brand and Marketing assets

eCommerce Management:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive eCommerce strategy to drive online sales and enhance the customer experience.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operation of our eCommerce platform, ensuring functionality, user-friendliness, and optimal performance.
  • Oversee the marketing team to integrate eCommerce initiatives with overall digital marketing strategies.

Social Media:

  • Directing the quarterly content calendar for all social channels establishing cross-functional communication practices consistently.
  • Assessing and iterating the comprehensive content strategy to reach data-driven goals
  • Develop unique audience growth strategies while maintaining industry-leading engagement
  • Managing the Content and Graphics team to develop social-specific content for campaigns
  • Oversee content scheduling and execution
  • Stay up to date with e-commerce and social media trends and their best practices

Email Marketing:

  • Strategising and Directing the Email Marketing strategy, including content, personalisation, segmentation, re-engagement plans, and new customer sign-ups (Klaviyo)
  • Providing detailed EDM briefs and working alongside our Graphic Designers to ensure all EDMs go out on time and are scheduled accordingly.

Analytics:

  • Analysing and reporting on all social platforms and relevant traffic using Google Analytics, online dashboards, and appropriate business tools
  • Demonstrating a results-focused analytical POV and iterating both content and campaigns on all channels and segmented funnels to enhance performance.

ABOUT YOU

Our perfect candidate for this role is a senior Brand / Marketing  Manager in a D2C e-commerce or start-up business. You will have held a broad, hands-on marketing role for an integral brand and you know you are an extremely good communicator both internally and externally. You have a clear understanding of product development, social media and winning marketing strategies. You are a master at project managing brand-building projects and genuinely enjoy mentoring your team and their career development.

You harness your network and know how to make new connections for brand partnerships and strategic collaborations. You’re comfortable working in a global brand environment. You are a true asset to your brand.

Essentials:  

  • Strong understanding of core marketing principles and processes
  • Strong understanding of the e-commerce marketing funnel – you know what acquisition retention is. You have experience with managing parts of the marketing funnel
  • Strong understanding of best practice MarTech (Shopify, Klaviyo, App Stacks- Okendo, Gorgias etc)
  • Proven ability to hustle to derive outcomes
  • You are based on the Gold Coast or willing to relocate.
