Job Description
The Finance team at Lendi Group comprises Financial Control, Business Partnering and Commissions professionals with a common mission to build the leading modern finance team.
The Head of Group Financial Control will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer and be working alongside other members of the Lendi Group Leadership Team.
What you will get to be part of:
- Leading by example as a key member of the Finance leadership team
- Leading the group-wide month-end processes, conducting detailed P&L reviews across all our brands and delivering P&L and BS reporting for the Group
- Responsibility for ensuring the delivery of all our statutory, regulatory and tax reporting obligations in Australia and the Philippines
- Responsibility for delivering the Group’s annual report and interim investor presentations
- Maintaining a robust control environment for all payments and reporting. Role-modelling best practices in risk culture in all our processes
- Maintaining effective working relationships with external auditors
- Contributing to the development of the Group’s operations strategy as part of Lendi Group’s Leadership team
- Supporting the finance business partnering teams to provide stakeholders with comprehensive finance support
- Identifying and implementing opportunities for process improvement, leveraging technology to improve efficiency and controls
Qualifications
Our ideal candidate profile
- A people leader who can attract and grow finance talent within the group, with a proven ability to lead people of varying experience levels and across multiple locations in Australia and the Philippines
- Deep expertise in statutory reporting and direct and indirect tax compliance both locally and internationally
- Excellent communication skills and an ability to engage a senior audience
- Analytical, with a strong eye for detail and a high level of financial acumen to achieve accurate and timely reporting of Group results
- Tech savvy and hands-on to deliver continuous improvements in our finance tech stack
- Ability to deal with large amounts of data for processing, reconciliation and analysis
- A collaborative working style to partner business stakeholders, cross-functional finance colleagues and management
- Effective time management, ability to meet deadlines and operate under time pressure in a dynamic environment
- Commitment to deliver exceptional service to both internal and external customers
Experience that will help you succeed in the role
- Previous background as a Financial Controller in the financial services industry, and a demonstrable understanding of the residential mortgage sector
- Master’s degree qualification and CPA or CA professional accreditation
- Proven experience in managing a large team of accounting and finance professionals
- Deep knowledge of AASB requirements, tax requirements, and operational audit requirements
- Advanced Excel and PowerBI skills and high attention to detail
- Experience in the end to end-to-end leadership of risk management in a complex corporate environment
