Let’s talk about this role
Reporting to the Group Chief Medical Officer, the Head of Clinical Strategy & Governance will play a pivotal role in supporting the development and execution of the Clinical Strategy. This role focuses on supporting product owners in commissioning value-based health programs, while ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality. Additionally, the role will lead key projects in the health space.
Key responsibilities will include overseeing the implementation of the Group Clinical Governance framework, ensuring objective and transparent reporting of known and emerging clinical risks from across the Group to the Executive Leadership Team and Board.
The role also will also focus on monitoring and responding to emerging health trends, including proposing novel programs, treatments, and technologies, ensuring nib remains at the forefront of offering the best available care options to its members.
Let’s talk about you
This leadership position requires a seasoned professional with a strong clinical background, extensive experience in health program commissioning, a deep understanding of Clinical governance frameworks with proven success in execution. Additionally, you will have:
Tertiary health degree with current AHRPA registration
Experience working in healthcare management, health quality assurance and clinical governance
Demonstrated success in integrating clinical thought leadership into organisational strategy, processes and practices
Exceptional leadership and management skills ensuring team members are enabled to work efficiently with a focus on execution
Project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
Broad network of health and health insurance relationships
Experience in developing value-based health programs in an insured population
Experience in approaches to improving health outcomes
