Mauri is currently seeking applications for a Head of WAN Operations and Continuous Improvement for our Western Animal Nutrition (WAN) Business. This role has flexibility to be based at either our Head Office in Enfield, NSW or our state-of-the-art facility in Hope Valley, WA. Reporting to the General Manager WAN, this critical role will lead operational sites across WAN in the safe delivery of all objectives and KPIs inclusive of our continuous improvement program.
The scope of this role will cover safety, quality, operational and financial performance of our 3 WAN manufacturing sites across Australia and NZ. This position is a key member of the WAN leadership team, playing an important role in the development of business strategy, organisation and culture. Key requirements of the role include:
* Leading all site management teams, setting strong OEE standards and levels of performance improvement
* Championing a continuous improvement mindset focusing on plant performance and cost control
* Driving a culture of safety ensuring our people stay safe through proactive safety leadership as well as driving food safety.
* Lead development and delivery of Engineering program to maintain and improve our assets
* Build strong relationships with Mauri's Technical, Quality, Finance, Procurement, Commercial and HR teams to enhance business profitability
* Leading and coaching capable senior leaders ensuring a whole of business mindset is applied
The successful candidate will be an experienced Operations leader, preferably within the food or agricultural industry, currently in a senior management position with evidence of strong operations management and multi-site experience. They will possess superior influencing skills, strong leadership and communication skills and be able to understand the day-to-day business challenges whilst operating at a strategic level. We are seeking a disciplined approach to process and systems improvement as well as a proven ability to lead, coach and manage a geographically dispersed teams, maintaining high levels of engagement and constructive challenge to achieve outcomes including organisational change.
