We are looking for an experienced Head of People Partnering to lead our team of People & Education Managers, Partners and Advisors across MECCA’s Support Centre, Customer Care and Distribution Centre workforces. Reporting to the GM People & Education, you will play a pivotal role in the execution of our people strategy as we embark on our mission to be the world’s most loved beauty destination!
The role you could play:
This is a newly created role and a great opportunity for you to bring your experience in leading a HR team to provide business focused operational HR advice and strategic partnership. A strong focus of this role is building, supporting, coaching the business partnering team in uplifting leadership capability, driving team member engagement and fostering a positive and inclusive workplace.
Well versed in HR policies and legislation, you will be responsible for coaching the team to navigate complex employee and industrial relations matters, resolving issues in a values aligned, commercial way.
As a senior member of MECCA’s P&E team, you will drive change, optimise our business partnering model, and build team capability and capacity to manage and achieve our ambitious people strategy.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Lead and manage a Business Partner team to coach, support senior Leaders, aligning to MECCA’s vision and strategy
- Partner with the General Manager - People and Education, and the Chief People Officer to define and implement people initiatives across our Support Centre, Distribution Centre and Customer Care workforces
- Translate the strategic agenda into clear people plans and deliver organisational transformation initiatives and programs
- Partner with leadership teams as a trusted advisor by proactively analysing, identifying and recommending appropriate strategies to minimise risks, enhance and promoted a people centred values driven culture
- Act as the escalation point for people matters – balancing commercial and people considerations to ensure the timely, fair and values aligned resolution to complex issues
- Identify opportunities to evolve the People Partnering model – creating efficiencies and strengthening the service and experience stakeholders receive
- Provide a coaching approach to facilitate effective, consistent Leadership that empowers people management – expecting and enabling Managers to assume increasing responsibility for people management
- Oversee Enterprise Agreement analysis, implementation, and negotiation, acting as an escalation point when required
What You Will Bring:
- Extensive HR business partner leadership experience in role/s driving positive cultural change with leaders in a large, diverse, and fast paced organisations
- A pragmatic, people first approach to people, coupled with strong commercial acumen
- Proven HR strategy leadership, with experience linking strategic goals with operational decisions
- Strong influencing skills and experience with partnering at a senior leadership (C-suite) level
- Confidence in making decisions and taking action even without having the whole picture
- Strong ER and IR knowledge and experience in EBA negotiations
- Change management experience and the ability to influence stakeholders through periods of change
- Strong relationship building and collaboration skills with a demonstrated ability to advise, coach and support the talent and leadership agenda, and build mutually beneficial partnerships with key stakeholders to deliver business outcomes.
- A demonstrated ability to be ‘hands on’, curious about the why and focused on outcomes
- Passionate about the team member experience and developing individuals’ skills and capabilities
