Working closely with the Finance Leadership team, as well as senior leaders and executives across the business, you will play a critical role in driving improved purchasing compliance as well as a cost management culture across ING
What you'll do
- Managing the tender process for engaging the external market, identifying ways in which third parties can be used most effectively including Outsourcing.
- Managing the design and continuous improvement of the outsourcing process with regards to contractual and legal compliance to ING Group and APRA requirements.
- Managing vendor negotiations and the process to ensure robust agreements are implemented with suppliers to minimise the ING's risks.
- Develop and maintain strong business partnering across the ING to actively promote the added value Of Procurement to ensure the best outcome for ING.
- Lead the processes, tolls and systems management and improvements within the Procurement area
What you'll bring
- Demonstrated experience in a similar position, ideally within financial services or a procurement organisation with a focus on indirect material
- Strong People Leadership experience with the ability to motivate and lead as well as coach and mentor staff
- Full understanding of the Procurement cycle as well as contractual agreements and commercial terms
- Proven expertise in negotiating and influencing whilst being passionate about driving a deal.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships, as well as communicate, with Senior Management and Executives
- Proven strategic category thinking, problem solving and analytical capabilities
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant field
