We are currently seeking a Head of Technology to lead the IT team by driving strategies and delivering IT initiatives to ensure operational stability and efficiencies.
Your Role
The ideal candidate will have experience in managing teams of onsite and remote workers. Being the Head of the IT department, your responsibilities will include inspiring and motivating team members, driving project delivery, aligning the IT strategy delivery with company goals and managing the departmental budget.
This role is integral to our company to keep us moving forward into the future and assist in streamlining our processes to deliver a high level of service and reduce costs to the company where possible.
Responsibilities
Technology Strategy and Leadership:
- Evolve and execute the technology strategy, identifying emerging trends, opportunities, and risks.
- Provide leadership to the technology team, fostering skill development and cohesion.
- Maintain day-to-day supervision of Technology operations, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
IT Strategy and Alignment:
- Maintain, develop and implement an IT strategy/roadmap aligned with the company's overall goals.
- Collaborate with other departments to identify and address their technology needs.
- Stay updated on technology trends and recommend improvements to IT operations.
Financial Management:
- Manage the IT budget, identifying cost-saving opportunities and optimization.
Infrastructure Management:
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of Technology infrastructure, including hardware, software, and network systems.
- Ensure the security and reliability of company systems, including cybersecurity measures and disaster recovery plans.
- Plan, install, configure, and maintain hardware, systems, and software, ensuring scalability to business needs.
Network Management:
- Manage and maintain networks and computer systems for optimal performance.
- Oversee Azure Active Directory and Cloud Applications.
Project Delivery:
- Oversee the successful execution of Technology projects, from evaluation to deployment, ensuring quality, timeliness, and budget adherence.
- Specific focus on integrating new acquisitions onto BRG infrastructure and into the BRG Pronto ERP.
- Employ change management strategies to drive technology adoption across the organization.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across departments.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize technology initiatives aligned with business goals.
- Act as a technology advocate and liaison between the Technology function and other business units.
What you’ll need
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience leading technology initiatives and delivering project outcomes on time and on budget.
- Proven track record of cultivating high-performing technology teams.
- Strong interpersonal skills and motivation to inspire excellence.
- Experience in developing and implementing IT strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Budget management and cost-saving experience.
- Delivery and management of services in alignment with ITIL frameworks.
- Excellent knowledge of Information Security Management Systems (ISMS)
- Strong experience with cloud technologies, particularly Azure.
- Strong networking knowledge, including WAN, LAN, WLAN and firewalls.
- Experience with Windows Domain Environment (ADDS, DNS, Group Policy) and Windows 10 desktop environments.
- Proficiency in Endpoint Management solutions (Intune, Sophos MDR)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
