As the Health and Safety Business Partner, you will be responsible for developing and promoting a culture of safety excellence and well-being at the Kogan Site.
Key job elements include:
- Provide expert advice and Safety leadership to improve, promote, educate, and advise on H&S matters across the Kogan site.
- Mentor and coach leaders, employees, and contractors on H&S matters to support a strong safety culture and "best practice" for H&S.
- Work closely with the site leadership team to ensure alignment and execution of the H&S business strategy and safe delivery of strategic asset management plans.
- Leverage past experience in workplace relations matters to support the site leadership team in driving safety outcomes and resolutions with site employees and other key stakeholders.
- Implement safety programs ensuring compliance with relevant legislation utilizing effective engagement strategies for a 'blue-collar' workforce.
- Provide hands-on support to key stakeholders while achieving H&S performance targets.
- Conduct incident investigations and reporting, and providing recommendations for corrective actions.
- Provide governance and execution of the Health and Safety management system and processes that enable the achievement of our values.
- Support the overall effectiveness of workplace operational H&S risk processes and management.
- Lead by example by demonstrating positive and proactive safety and risk practices.
This key role will champion Health and Safety culture transformation at the Kogan Site through to world class performance. The role will also support emerging and future energies as CS Energy transitions to energy hubs in our regional locations.This is a permanent, full-time opportunity at our Kogan Creek Power Station. This position may require travel interstate and intrastate as required to attend workshops, meetings, conferences, training courses and to provide technical support and delivery to CS Energy sites. Flexible hours as required to meet the business needs.
ABOUT YOUTo be successful in this role, you will have:
- A current Certificate IV OHS certificate or equivalent.
- At least ten years’ experience working as part of an H&S team on a large and complex industrial or power station site.
- Tertiary or post-graduate qualifications in occupational Health and Safety would be an advantage.
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessing would be an advantage.
- A current Fire Safety Advisor certification would be an advantage.
- A current Senior First Aid Officer certificate would be an advantage.
- A current Rehabilitation and Return to work Coordinator certificate would be an advantage.
