We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Health & Safety Coordinator to join the team. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and maintaining Health and Safety policies and procedures across various construction sites in Adelaide. They will work closely with union members, employers, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety awareness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive Health and Safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Provide guidance and support to union members and employers on safety-related issues.
- Investigate incidents and accidents and develop strategies to prevent recurrence.
- Deliver training sessions and workshops to promote safety awareness and best practices.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and industry stakeholders to stay informed about changes in safety regulations and industry trends.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational Health and Safety, and or a related field.
- WHS or HSR Qualification (desired)
- Proven experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant safety regulations and standards.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is desirable.
