About our opportunity
We are on the search for a collaborative Health and Wellbeing Partner to join our team!
Sitting within the greater Wellbeing and Safety function, we are a team of 6 with a focus on partnering with the greater organisation, with our Health and Wellbeing Partners providing a valued source for both proactive and responsive coaching and advice.
We will look to you to manage a portfolio of work and non-work-related injury and illness cases end to end with leaders across Council, applying best practice approaches aimed at sustainable return to work outcomes. You'll also:
- Provide advice on Health and Wellbeing policy, process and legislative requirements - such as those outlined in the Workers’ Compensation and Rehabilitation Act 2003, and the Work Health and Safety Act 2011.
- Coach and partner with leaders in responding to complex issues impacting recovery and return to work, to build effective leadership capability and drive sustainable return to work outcomes.
- Manage the implementation of statutory health monitoring or surveillance programs, including any risk mitigation strategies.
- Provide insights to the Wellbeing and Safety leadership team on Health and Wellbeing trends and areas for leadership development, to inform future initiatives and broader strategic opportunities.
About you
To thrive in this role you will have:
- Experience in a similar Health and Wellbeing Partnering role, ideally within an organisation with similar size and complexity.
- Certified Return to Work Coordinator, or relevant recency of practice qualifications.
- Understanding of best practice, relevant frameworks and legislation as it applies to managing wellbeing and safety in a workplace - such as the Workers' Compensation and Rehabilitation Act 2003, and the Work Health and Safety Act 2011.
Given no two days will be the same, you will be adaptable to change with demonstrated ability to shift focus and re-prioritise on short notice, working within tight deadlines.
You will be a natural communicator, with the ability to quickly build rapport and establish yourself as a trusted source of knowledge with a wide array of stakeholders.
