Job Description: As a Health Educator in our Registered Training Organization (RTO), you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of healthcare professionals by delivering high-quality education and training programs. You will have the opportunity to design innovative curriculum, engage with diverse learners, and contribute to the development of a skilled workforce in the health sector.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Design and develop educational materials like pamphlets and posters for health education programs.
- Ensure alignment with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and qualification frameworks.
- Deliver engaging and interactive deliver training sessions or workshops on health-related topics to RTO staff, trainers, and learners to enhance their understanding of health concepts utilising a variety of interactive methods and technologies.
- Adapt instructional strategies to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
- Develop evaluation tools and strategies to measure learner understanding in health-related topics.
- Evaluate learner performance and provide constructive feedback for improvement.
- Manage educational resources, including textbooks, multimedia materials, and equipment required for health education programs.
- Ensure availability and proper maintenance of resources to support effective teaching and learning.
- Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to students and trainers.
- Stay informed about current trends, research, and best practices in health education.
- Participate in professional development activities to enhance knowledge and skills relevant to the role.
- Collaborate with colleagues, health professionals, and industry partners to enhance the quality and relevance of health education programs.
- Foster partnerships and networking opportunities to enrich the learning experience for students.
- Ensure that health education programs comply with relevant regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and industry guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation to demonstrate compliance with organizational and external standards.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or higher qualification in health education, public health, or a related field.
- Experience in designing, delivering, and evaluating health education programs within an educational setting.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and establish effective partnerships with stakeholders.
About you:
- Fluency in English and at least one other language
- Minimum two years of relevant experience.
- Experience in working with linguistically diverse people and communities from different cultures and backgrounds
- Demonstrated ability to assist in the planning and coordination of information or training sessions
- Working with Children Check
