Accurate health data management is an extremely important enabler in our health district’s capacity to meet our goal of building ‘healthy rural people and thriving communities’. This management role is crucial to supporting ready access to quality data and information for clinical decision making, clinical quality improvement, application of activity based funding models and to meet medico legal requirements.
You will plan, lead, oversee and monitor day to day practice in relation to all aspects of Health Information management in these facilities, ensuring data integrity and timely access to relevant information to support front line clinicians make accurate clinical decisions and deliver quality patient outcomes.
You will also and collaborate with clinicians to ensure understanding of clinical documentation requirements and local Health Information processes, and for information improvements including technology and processes. Risk will be managed by ensuring legislative and policy requirements in relation to creation, maintenance, access, archiving and destruction of medical records are met.
As a manager you will take responsibility for the effective recruitment, leadership, development and performance of direct reports and play an active role in team culture development and practices which value diversity.
