Fixed-term to July 2025 $96,365 per annum (plus super and RDO) - hybrid workingWe are on the lookout for a dedicated and proactive HSW Project Officer to join us to continue to improve health and safety outcomes across Council. About the roleCity of Boroondara is committed to providing a safe and healthy work environment for our employees. Our small and collaborative HSW team are part of the wider People, Culture and Development department and work across the organisation to ensure HSW is front of mind and embedded in all we do. The HSW Project Officer:Is a trusted advisor promoting advice and support to all levels of leadership.Makes a significant contribution to culture by working with leaders to identify opportunities to improve health and safety for all teams.Focuses on specific areas of HSW risk identified as trends or emerging trends for Council including manual handing, slips, trips and falls, and occupational violence.Implements projects and actions to improve health and safety.Increases understanding of reporting, investigations and corrective action processes.Actively supports leaders to meet their workplace health and safety obligations.About you This is a great opportunity to grow your HSW career! You bring:Qualification in Health and Safety or other relevant discipline or relevant experience, with an ability to understand and interpret the requirements of OHS Legislation.Demonstrated capacity to build strong relationships, work collaboratively and enhance stakeholder relationships.Proactive and resourceful approach in identifying and improving health and safety practices.
